Hi, I'm Taylor!

Updated: May 28, 2020

Hi Friends! I’m Taylor :) If you're a fan of cooking, baking and most importantly eating - you came to the right place! I am a huge foodie at heart! Usually when I'm eating one meal, I'm thinking about the next! (& I know I'm not alone!) All my recipes have been created guilt-free, so you can still enjoy all your favorite foods while maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

I am currently in my late twenties living in Newport, Rhode Island with my boyfriend Will and our fur baby Lip. I've lived here pretty much my entire life and absolutely love it! My Dad always told us growing up that we live in a vacation destination and as I've gotten older and able to appreciate it, I couldn't agree more! It's my version of paradise, filled with restaurants, beaches, shopping boutiques, farmers markets, live music, and more!

I am a full-time Contract Negotiator, but love a good side hustle! In addition to my full-time job, I am also a Spin Instructor and a LesMills BodyPump Instructor as well. I strive everyday to live a healthy lifestyle whether that be from a good sweat or getting creative with healthy ingredients in the kitchen. Living a healthy lifestyle is for your mind, body and soul. When you fuel your body properly, it gives you the energy you need to perform at your best in every aspect of life.

I am here to create fun, delicious and easy recipes that will leave you asking yourself "Am I Full Yet?!" because you'll want to eat another bite even though you've already finished your plate! I do not believe that you have to give up all your favorite foods in order to maintain a healthy lifestyle and my goal is for people to understand and believe that too! I don't believe in cutting things out, in my experience saying I can't have something just makes you want it more! That being said, there are substitutes for EVERYTHING! There are ways to make all your favorite dishes guilt-free and still filled with plenty of flavor, and that's where I am come in!

I want everyone to enjoy good food, feel well after eating it, but most importantly I want everyone to have a healthy relationship with it. Believe me, prior to changing my diet to be based off real, whole, nutritious foods, I struggled for years. I never ate a piece of cake without feeling like a had to run a marathon the next day, or felt like after every meal I had to write down everything I ate to count my calories to make sure I was under a certain goal for the day. I never felt free around food and that is a terrible feeling.

Success doesn't come without sacrifice. There was a lot of trial and error for me throughout the years, but through a lot of research and testing what made my body and mind feel the best I can honestly say I have never had a better relationship with food than I do right now. And it all started right here, treating my body like the temple it is, rather than a piece of trash. When people ask me why I eat healthy, I love to respond with "If you had a Mercedes would you fill that sexy ride up with regular or premium?" Your body is a temple and you only get one. Why are you going to fuel your body with crap when you have the ability to fuel it with real food.

Living a healthy life is not unattainable, all it takes is for you to pay a little bit of attention. If I can do it, anyone can! I promise! I want to erase the stigma that healthy equals boring and bland and limits you from all your favorite foods, or that eating healthy is a sacrifice. It's literally the opposite. Life is to be enjoyed and food is a crucial aspect of that. You do not have to sacrifice flavor and treats - I would not survive if that were the case.

We can thank my mama for teaching me to love being in the kitchen. It truly is one of my favorite places to be - (other than Gooseberry of course!) I grew up watching my mom cook amazing dinners for her family and I think this is where my love of food came from. Over the years I have taken everything she has taught me in the kitchen and used that knowledge to create plenty of breakfasts, lunches, dinners and most importantly desserts - which is what you will find here! All my recipes create a healthy plate using minimal ingredients and only real food - nothing artificial, ever. Most of them are gluten-free, dairy-free (or sheep and goat milk based), and free of refined sugar.

I love to eat. Hell, I live to eat. Food is one of the joys of life. It brings people together and is used for celebration! I taste test almost all of these recipes on my boyfriend, so I know if he's going for seconds it's a recipe that is getting written down! I am by no means a certified nutritionist, I am just a girl who loves to eat and is passionate about sharing what I know in hopes that it will help someone else too!

Thank you all for being here and for reading and trying out my recipes! It means the world to me and allows me to live a life that I am proud of!

Xoxo,

Taylor
